Neutral tools
The tool orientation values WO=2, 4, 6, 8 are used for "neutral" tools.
Neutral means the cutting edge is perpendicular to the X or Z axis (see
figure at right).
Button tools
The following aspects are important when dimensioning button tools:
Nose angle B=0: identifies the tool as button tool.
Tool angle: is used for plunge cycles to check or calculate the
plunging angle. MANUALplus needs the tool angle during simulation
for calculating the tool position.
Reference point: depends on the tool orientation—see figure at
right for dimensioning with WO=1 and WO=2 (neutral button tool).
