Connecting the Encoders

ND 780 can be used with HEIDENHAIN linear, and rotary encoders

that provide sinusoidal output (11µA

, or 1V

). The encoder inputs

on the rear panel are designated X1, X2, and X3.

The connecting cable must not exceed 30 m (100 ft.) in length.

Do not engage, or disengage any connections while the

unit is under power.
